What are Batiks?Batik is a style of painting using a process of wax or dyes. See Our Story and About section for a breakdown of the process.
-
Are these original Batiks? No. While the actual designs are original and created by the artist 'Moses' the products for sale on this website are reproduction prints, either onto fabric or card. From time to time, originals will be available for purchase and will be clearly marked as such.
-
How do I display my fabric Batik? Our fabric Batik prints are reproduced and framed exactly as the originals were meant to be, stretched onto a wooden frame. Our fabric prints come pre-framed and ready to hang unless otherwise requested.
-
Can I frame my Batik myself?Absolutely. If you would prefer to stretch frame yourself, just let us know. If you'd prefer to keep your batik print behind glass and/or with a different frame, it is absolutely possible. We suggest speaking to your local framer about 'floating frames' for the perfect finish.
-
Can I order a fabric design in a different size?Yes! Whilst the designs for sale are reproduced at their original size, we can scale down for smaller prints. For larger prints, it will depend on your final measurements, so get in touch with your preferred size and we'll let you know what is possible.
-
Can I order a card print on a different size?Yes! Our card prints can be reproduced onto a range of materials and sizes. Let us know what measurements you're thinking of and we can provide a personalised quote.
-
How do I clean my fabric Batik?A clean damp cloth is perfect for wiping clean any surface dust and grime. The material is also machine washable. The batik can be removed from the frame, washed, ironed and reframed.
-
Will you have any new designs?Currently, only 50% of our designs have been digitised, so we will add new ones from time to time.
